Tricia Sullivan (email in Family History Stuff, My Docs)says that Stephen and 2 of his children were transported to Tasmania and Sydney for theft etc.

"After Phoebe left England Mary Winrow moved to Abbey Barns, Derby - we bellieve to be with her other sister Hannah Marshall who was also residing in Abbey Barns.

Mary Winrow had 6 children who survived. Gregory did not marry (when caught for theft Greg and John used the alias Wild)- John married Ellen(he married 2 times after her death) John suffered great hardship.He was a convict, His daughter died as an infant. He moved to Warnambool where he was bancrupt, moved back to Stanley, Tas where his son died age 7ish, he had 2 more sons who were born mentally disabled and placed in Willow Court mental Asylum. They were violent as they got older. They both died of pnemonia. His son William marries 3 times, no issues, was a fruiter in Melbourne and dies bancrupt and is buried in a paupers grave.Ellen his wife dies young. He marries Sarah and she contracts an illness and dies after being ill for ages. He marries a widow Agnes with children and has more children, 1 daughter suffered domestic violence we think, so far we can tell they all die with no issue.

We are still trying to trace the other Winrow children."
