On 1 August 1937 Marshal is shown arriving in USA from Southhampton per ship "SS Georgie". He is rfetired and travelling with his brother Lucas Howe, who is a civil servant. They state their place of birth as St Albans Australia and they describe their race as Irish. The address they supply is Bridge St Hornsby, the home of their brother Edmund.
Marshal is described as 5 feet 9 inchesfair complexion, brown hair and blue eyes.
In 1939 Marshal sails from Sydneyto Vancouver arriving 7th April. The only addition to his description is that his hair is grey and he has had a broken left thigh.3
